Do I have to list all drivers of my vehicle?

Yes, if you wish for these drivers to be covered with the same policy Basic Excess you have chosen. If you don’t list these drivers they may still be covered, however in the event of a claim they will be required to pay a Unlisted Driver Excess in addition to the Basic Excess and any other Excesses listed on your Policy Schedule.  This is also subject to any Special Conditions shown on your Policy Schedule where some drivers are specifically excluded or may be subject to an age restriction.

Do I have to list all occasional drivers?

You can decide whether or not you want to list anybody who may drive your car. However if you do not list them, in the event of a claim these drivers will pay an additional Unlisted Driver Excess  in addition to the Basic Excess and any other Excesses listed on your Policy Schedule.  This is also subject to any Special Conditions shown on your Policy Schedule where some drivers are specifically excluded or are subject to an age restriction.

Do I pay an excess on a windscreen claim?

Yes you have to pay the same excess that applies to your car, which is shown on your policy schedule, each time you make a claim for a windscreen. In some cases the cost of a windscreen can be less than the excess and no claim can be made.

When you apply for insurance, you can also choose to pay a higher premium and reduce your windscreen excess to a lower amount. If you purchase this option, you would pay the reduced excess when you have a windscreen claim, and not the same excess that applies to your car. Please read our PDS for full details.

Some modifications can be covered by your Youi policy.

It is very important that you tell us about all modifications made to your car. It may affect your premium and your insurance cover, since cars with certain modifications cannot be covered at all by your Youi policy.

It is also part of your duty of disclosure to tell us immediately when you decide to make modifications to your car, even during the period of cover. If you do not tell us about modifications made to your car, we may reduce or refuse your claim or cancel your policy as permitted by law.
