Youi History

Youi can trace its origins back a decade ago, when OUTsurance Pty Ltd emerged from a group of entrepreneurs looking to create an insurance company with a difference.

These entrepreneurs believed the future was dealing directly with consumers, returning part of their premium, when customers didn’t make a claim and providing awesome service. These beliefs formed the cornerstones upon which OUTsurance was built.

Today, OUTsurance is one of the largest direct insurers in South Africa, employing more than 1 400 people and renowned for its awesome service standards, innovative product offerings and passionate employees.

As part of FirstRand and OUTsurance’s philosophy to export their expertise internationally, Australia was chosen to establish an exciting new Home and Car insurer to challenge conventional methods of buying insurance, policy administration and service delivery. Youi Pty Ltd was created to make that difference.

Youi might be new to Australia, but it is definitely not new to insurance. With more than a decade of insurance expertise, Youi’s board and senior management are a professional and experienced team with considerable insurance knowledge.

As a Home and Car insurer, Youi is able to deliver quality insurance products to our customers in a professional, cost–effective manner, with the convenience and security of our website.
