Youi delivered record response times to customers in Melbourne after the ‘once in 100 year’ weather event, setting up temporary claims processing centres to manage customer demand.

A survey of over 1200 Australians, conducted by Youi insurance, has indicated that Aussies are divided over whether phone companies should disable mobile phones when they are travelling more than 5km per hour.*
Hugo Schreuder, CEO of Youi Insurance, said “54% of Australians believe phone companies should be stopping people from making or receiving calls when they are travelling over 5km per hour.”
“This is an interesting finding given the increasing trend for Australians to be involved in car accidents when making or receiving calls or text messaging whilst they are driving.”

A survey* of over 875 Australians, conducted by Youi insurance, has indicated that 53% of Aussies believe that the GPS satellite navigation systems in their cars more accurately measure the speed their car is travelling than their car’s own speedometer.
23% of Australians use their GPS systems to determine their car’s speed whenever they are travelling.
And the trend is growing with more people relying on GPS systems to determine their car’s speed.
