What's excluded?

At Youi, we like to make it nice and clear what is – and isn’t – included in our policies. Here are some of the things that are not included in our Third Party motorcycle policies, but do come with our Comprehensive cover.8

Roadside assistance

If you have a Third Party Property Only or Third Party Fire & Theft policy, you won’t have access to Youi Roadside Assist if your motorcycle breaks down.

Accidental damage

Under our Third Party Property Only and Third Party Fire & Theft policies, if someone else causes damage to your motorcycle, the cost of repairing or replacing your motorcycle won’t be covered (except under Uninsured Third Party). 

Intentional damage

If you have a Third Party Property Only or Third Party Fire & Theft motorcycle insurance policy, you won’t be covered for the repair and replacement of your motorcycle if it is damaged intentionally.

Storm or flood

Under our Third Party Property Only and Third Party Fire & Theft policies, you won’t be covered for storms or floods, including hail damage.

Funeral expenses

If a rider of your motorbike sustains a fatal injury as a result of an accident, you won’t be covered for their funeral expenses under our Third Party Property Only and Third Party Fire & Theft policies.

If you have a Third Party Property Only or Third Party Fire & Theft policy, you won’t have access to Youi Roadside Assist if your motorcycle breaks down.

If you’re the main rider of your motorcycle, we’ll need your contact info, details about your riding history, and your licence type.

Other riders’ details

It’s important that you let us know if anyone else will be riding your motorcycle, so we can add them as a listed rider if necessary.

Parking address

We’ll need to know whether your motorcycle will be parked on the street, inside a locked garage, or at another location, because this could affect your premium.

There are key differences between our Third Party Property Only and Third Party Fire & Theft motorcycle insurance policies. They both cover your legal liability up to $20 million per claim if your motorcycle damages someone else’s vehicle or property. They also both provide temporary replacement cover for your new motorcycle up to 14 days, and up to $1,500 per person, including you, listed riders and household members, for counselling services following a claim.

However, our Third Party Fire & Theft policy provides a wider range of features, including coverage from fire and theft.
