With more than 25 years’ experience as a journalist, Karen began her career working in-house for newspapers and magazines, before going on to edit custom publications for luxury car brands, construction companies and wellness providers.

A freelancer since 2009, Karen writes regularly for national magazines and inserts, as well as creating digital content for a variety of leading brands and organisations, including mental health, insurance, conservation, property and wellbeing. Karen has also studied canine nutrition and enjoys whipping up tasty, super-healthy meals for her rescue dogs, Amber and Desmond, who live with Karen and her partner in Byron Bay’s hinterland. She now writes regularly for Youi on insurance issues that impact everyday Australian lives.
