In footy, resilience is everything – and it’s a lesson kids across Queensland are now learning both on and off the field.
Through a new community initiative with the Brisbane Lions, Youi is proud to support the Brisbane Lions in their mission to enhance youth wellbeing through innovative and impactful programs. This latest round in our partnership will see us fund 15 additional wellbeing sessions for schools and clubs across the Brisbane Lions’ supported regions – helping bring mental fitness, emotional resilience and physical health tools to more young people.
By investing in the Brisbane Lions’ wellbeing initiatives, Youi is helping to expand access to vital mental health resources and physical health equipment for more schools and clubs across the region.
The Brisbane Lions Wellbeing Program offers expert-led sessions focused on key areas like mindset, confidence, healthy habits and connection. Youi’s support makes it possible for the Brisbane Lions to scale their wellbeing programs, ensuring that more children and teens can benefit from expert-led workshops, activities and resources.
Beyond the sessions, to ensure each school or club has what they need to continue the momentum, Youi will also donate new sports equipment – helping more kids stay actively engaged on the field and enjoy the positive impacts of the program.
Our community-minded partnership focuses on creating safe, supportive environments that nurture emotional resilience, confidence and healthy habits among young kids and aspiring footy players.
Clubs and schools within the Brisbane Lions’ footprint can apply to take part, with applications opening from 28 July via the Lions’ website. Eligible AFLQ clubs and school groups can submit a 50–300-word entry outlining the impact the program would have on their community.
A panel from the Brisbane Lions and Youi will select the recipients, and the chosen schools and clubs will be contacted directly. The collaboration speaks to Youi’s commitment to investing in programs that foster long-term health, happiness and success for young people in the community.
From metro suburbs to outback ovals, this initiative is about championing positive change, building stronger, more resilient young people, and shaping healthier communities for the future.
