With the 2026 NRL season underway, that can only mean one thing – the State of Origin is around the corner. As the Official Partner of NRL fans, Youi is proud to launch Youi Origin Verified – a first-of-its-kind fan initiative developed in partnership with the NRL.
State of Origin is one of the biggest rivalries in sport in Australia which sees thousands of fans flood stadiums or cheer their team on from home for every game. Youi’s continued partnership with the NRL means highlighting this dedication fans have to their home states and building a platform to showcase their love for the game.
Youi Origin Verified gives New South Wales and Queensland fans the chance to earn an Official Fan Verification by completing a series of fun challenges designed to test their knowledge and passion for their state.
And as if the three games across the Origin series weren’t enough to fuel the rivalry, a live NSW vs QLD leaderboard will track which state has the most verified fans. Participants will compete to unlock exclusive rewards, prizes and above all else – bragging rights.
If you come out on top as Youi’s Origin Verified top fan, you’ll have the chance to win a trip for two to Game 2 of the 2027 State of Origin at Eden Park in Auckland, New Zealand. This historic match will be the first State of Origin match played outside of Australia since 1987.
The program is designed to put fans at the centre of the game while anchoring Youi's 'Footy. Made by Fans' platform, says Youi Chief Marketing Officer, Angela Greenwood.

But don’t just take our word for it; Origin legends Brad Fittler and Kevin Walters have also hopped on the partnership bandwagon with Youi and the NRL to encourage fans to put their allegiance to the test.
“State of Origin is built on pride, passion and rivalry and that’s what makes it so special,” Fittler said.
“Youi Origin Verified gives fans a chance to put their loyalty to the test, have a bit of fun with their mates and prove they really know their footy. Origin fans love backing their state and this is a fantastic way to be a part of the competition throughout the series.”
Youi Origin Verified is now open to New South Wales and Queensland fans across Australia, with the platform live throughout the 2026 State of Origin series.
